What is VELQONIX AI LABS?
Who we are, what we build, and how we work with companies on AI, products and engineering, in one place.
VELQONIX AI LABS is a technology company based in Bengaluru, India. We build software products of our own, integrate AI into real-world applications, and work with companies as their engineering and technology partner. The company is registered as VELQONIX AI LABS LLP and was founded in 2026.
Put simply: we build things, and we help other people build things. This post explains what that means in practice, and why we think the two sides belong together.
What we do
Our work falls into three areas.
- Products. Software we conceptualise, design, build and run ourselves, starting with BrainUp, a free career productivity platform for job seekers, and an invoice app now in development.
- AI integration and consulting. Finding where AI genuinely helps inside a product or workflow, then designing and building that integration to production standards, along with the architecture around it.
- Engineering projects. End-to-end development of web applications and digital products, from the first architecture decision to a clean handover in production.
Why we build our own products
Plenty of teams give advice about software. Fewer have to live with the consequences of their own decisions every day. Running our own products keeps us honest: we deal with real users, real bugs, real hosting bills and real trade-offs between speed and quality.
That experience flows straight into client work. When we recommend a stack, a data model or an AI approach, it is usually something we have already shipped, broken and fixed ourselves.
We don't just talk about AI. We build products with it.
How we think about AI
We are practical about AI. It is excellent at some jobs, such as drafting, summarising, classifying, extracting and suggesting, and a poor fit for others. We don't bolt a chat box onto a product and call it intelligent. We look for the specific steps in a workflow where AI saves real time or improves a real decision, and we build those with the guardrails production software needs. Where plain software does the job better, we use plain software.
